Apple Watch battery drain

I have never had any problems with battery life on my Apple watch before. In fact I can comfortably go a full day (12-15 hours) without the watch dropping below 30-40%.

However, today, the watch has managed to completely drain itself within 6 hours of the previous full charge (I checked on the Usage section of my Apple Watch app on the iPhone). A colleague of mine has just checked his watch and was also surprised at how much battery his watch has drained today.

Thanks,

Jonny

Hi Jonny

The following steps have helped to resolve issues with battery life for some users:

Restart both your iPhone and watch. Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first:

  • To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off.
  • To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

If that does not help, next unpair and re-pair your watch:

For the best performance from your watch, keep both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth permanently enabled on your iPhone.
